7:00pm - Arak & Sahbak (Le’Chaim & Shmoozing) Open bar and Sephardic vibes as we gather indoors to welcome Shabbat with warmth and good company.
8:00pm - Sephardic Shabbat Dinner 4-course authentic Sephardic meal cooked by our resident chef (appetizers, meat, veggie entrees, side dishes, and desserts - Vegetarian and gluten free options will be available)
10:00pm - Ja'leh unwind with a traditional Yemenite-Sephardic post-dinner gathering. Enjoy Pitzuhim (nuts & snacks) while singing traditional Shabbat Zemirot (melodies) from the Diwan together.
Dress Code
To honor our Sephardic traditions, we’d encourage our guests to dress in the spirit of our culture. We kindly ask men to please wear a head covering — A kippah, baseball cap, fedora, or something creative will do the trick (we will provide options too)! We also ask women to dress modestly in our space.
Partners
Sponsoring Partners: Israel Bonds, JIMENA, Russian-Speaking Jewish Community, OneTable
Community Partners: Malka Productions, ValueCulture and JCCSF.
Notes
To help Ronit (our chef) and Angela (our event manager) prepare properly, avoid any logistical balagan, and ensure everyone arrives at Shabbat relaxed and refreshed, please purchase your ticket by Thursday, November 6th at 10 AM.
Pricing and tips have temporarily increased due to the loss of a couple of sponsoring partners, rising event costs, and the current attendance cap, which raises the cost per attendee. We are working to make the event more affordable by securing new partners such as Israel Bonds, reducing operational costs, and exploring ways to expand capacity, including reopening the patio for additional seating.
If you are facing financial difficulty and cannot afford the ticket price, please email Angela at admin@ansheysfard.com as early as possible — ideally at least two weeks before the event — so we can do our best to help. We don’t want anyone left out on Friday night.
Refund & Transfer Policy
Contributions may be refunded with at least 72 hours’ advance notice, as preparations, staffing, and logistics are finalized based on expected attendance. Ticket transfers are not guaranteed, but requests can be made by contacting Angela at events@angela.com at least 48 hours before the event. Same-day transfers cannot be accommodated due to logistical demands.
Please note that these contributions and tickets are not payments for goods or services, but part of our ongoing fundraising efforts to support young professionals’ activities, including the First Friday Shabbat dinner program.
